Quick Flicks owns and maintains each kiosk. We order new DVD releases for every week based on the rental patterns at each location. In order to get the most popular titles for a given location, we use software that analyzes rental trends for that kiosk. Every machine is stocked with DVDs and checked weekly. We also have software that tells us the status of each machine online. We can check to see which titles are rented and how the machine is functioning online at any time. Because Quick Flicks is a local owner and operator, each location receives individualized service. If there is ever a problem with a DVD or rental, there is a phone number (781-363-1380) and email address tamara@quickflicksdvds.com posted on the kiosk. The customer can notify us at any time and we will remedy the situation. Because of the technology involved with the kiosk, the operation is simple and there are relatively few issues that can arise. However, if someone rents a DVD that has become scratched, they will receive a full refund for their rental and that DVD will be taken out of circulation. Movie requests are always accepted via email or phone. We are happy to accomodate movie requests as much as possible. Each DVD contains an Radio Frequency ID (RFID) device that the kiosk identifies as belonging to that particular DVD. Therefore, the machine will not accept the return of a DVD box with no DVD inside, nor will it accept a DVD that is not the original that was rented.
