FAQs
Who maintains the machine? Quick Flicks owns and maintains each kiosk. New DVD releases are ordered for each week, and the machine is professionally stocked and maintained. Can you use cash to rent a DVD? The kiosks only take credit cards - Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover. At certain universities we are integrating the student card technology with the credit card reader, so student cards can be used to rent DVDs. What if I don't return my movie right away? Your credit card will be charged the daily rate for each day. Once you have rented the video for a fixed number of days, the video is yours to keep. Check the kiosk at each location for more information. Can I put an advertisement on the kiosk for my business? Yes it is possible to advertise on the side panels of the machine, or on the video screen. Contact us for pricing Can I read the movie box information before making a final decision about which movie to rent? DVDs are rented in their original boxes with all of the DVD promotional information still intact. Customers can swipe their card to see a DVD and review it for 10 minutes while deciding if they want to rent that particular title. If they choose to replace the DVD within 10 minutes, their card is not charged. This action can be done repeatedly. Can I request a movie? We are happy to accomodate as many requests as possible. Send an email or leave a voicemail, and be sure to indicate the location of the kiosk. What if someone else forgets to put the DVD back in the box, then returns it - then I try to rent that DVD? Each DVD contains an Radio Frequency ID (RFID) device that the kiosk identifies as belonging to that particular DVD. Therefore, the machine will not accept the return of a DVD box with no DVD inside, nor will it accept a DVD that is not the original that was rented. |
